No start after oil sump replacement
I have a 2000 xii that I high centered on the oil filter bolt and we'll you know what happened. Long story short everything was replaced and now back together but it appears that because all the oil was removed the pressure switch needs to be reset or something else that is causing the starter not to engage. The only wire I touched was the wire to what looks like a pressure switch on the olive pan. Help and thanks for any information.

Did you check the side stand safety switch and the wiring to it?

Re: No start after oil sump replacement
The oil pressure switch would not affect the starter circuit.Did you check the kill switch by your right thumb? I have bumped that already, and could not start until I turned it back to the run position. As Barry said check your side stand switch. If neither is the cause,You can download a service manual online, which can help find the problem.
