Re: Enduro or adventure tires
I ride a lot in the dirt. On a dirt bike. Putting tires like that on a Voyager sounds kinda thoopid to me. (But honestly, I haven't tried it.)
I take my Voyager down our gravel lane and road, more or less sandy and/or muddy. The limiting factor is NOT the tires.
Voyagers are built for superslab. I don't think dirt tires will help at all. And they'd suck when you get to the freeway.
Horses for courses.

Re: Enduro or adventure tires
Iggyriver, welcome to the forum, and the Voyager family! By the look of your logo image, you ride a Voyager 1700? You posted your question on the Voyager 1200 forum. The 1700's are a different animal, compared to the older 1200's. The 1200's were manufactured from 1986-2003. I would recommend you try posting your question on best tire, on the 1700 forums. Those of us with 1200's ride different rims and tires. I also suspect your 1700 is built for Radial tires -- we ride bias-ply. Best of luck with your tire research! Cheers!

Iggyriver rides an 86 XII (1200), the image doesn't necessarily represent the model but the line!
Listed as Current Bikes under the image of the 1700 is says 1986 voyager.
Just an FYI!
And Yes Iggyriver, welcome to the AVA!
