There have been some 1993-1995 XII's on Craigslist, in my area, asking for that, and higher. I don't get it, either. Cheers!

I tend to disagree to some extent.
Considering the work that already has been done (if verified) ,that 2000 is probably a much better value than a 2003 at around 2700 .
3000 is a good asking price .By the time he lets you talk him down a little ,your happy and he is happy.
You can find them for a lot less , but are they a better dollar for dollar deal .
And no I would not pay that much for any XII . ZN1300 fan

What you neigh Sayers don't understand.....Geno and I took that 2000 Voyager from the original owner and repaired the radiator leak, then worked it from top to bottom and then started adding chrome, and more chrome, then just a bit more chrome. Yes, you can find them a bit cheaper, but but not as loved as we showed her. I personally wanted to keep it, but, I already have a '94 and a '03. Don't let the $3K hold you back, that was the kick off point for $2500.00. Considering the $hundred$ of add-ons we installed, it's a steal. If the next owner wants a CB, we have one standing by for install.

Been hanging around since the 90's (the good 'ol days)

Most vehicles are fully depreciated once they're 10 years old. After that, prices normally start to go back up. Take a look at the competition for the same year vxii under consideration. They are now selling for thousands more than the vxii. Are they better machines? Not really. It's time for the bargain priced vxii's to catch up with the other touring bikes. Vintage bikes appreciate and are appreciated by others. I was at a vintage motorcycle show today and had many people tell me how much they enjoyed their vxii's and wish they still had theirs. I saw lots of wives/girl friends literally drag their husbands over to my bike with lots of pointing and other interesting gestures. I suspect a more comfortable bike is in their future. It was so strange to see people ignore a Vincent Black Shadow and yet stop to see my vxii. Bill O, you deserve to get your full asking price. A '96 sold for $4500 here just last year.
