Front and back plugs

Hello
I have what maybe a stupid question but there is a plug at the front of the bike and a plug at the back of the bike for the passenger what are they for. Is it for comms. Or something else.

Also is there a way to tighten the clasps on the storage bags the lock but do not seem tight

Yes the plugs are for head sets and/or a CB radio.
Perhaps the weatherstripping is old. It can be bolstered with some soft nylon 3 strand rope, 3/16 or 1/4" diameter should work. Do a search for "weatherstripping" as I recall it has been discussed before.

Find a way to bolster that weatherstripping fast, or you risk losing your saddlebag lids. The latches rely on tension from the weatherstrips. Also, never ride with your latches unlocked.

If you check the site, you will find that many posters have made tethers to prevent their lids from leaving the bike if they come off.
