Clutch issue , bike stalls

Hello im am recently a new owner to a 1986 kawasaki voyager 1200 xii ive been working out all the corks due to the bike sitting and not being ridden much by the previous owner. Today i warmed up the bike and went to take off and the bike just dies as i let out the clutch and with trying it three more times the bike just shuts off. Any ideas of where to start?

disregard the question, sorry everyone i realized i left the kickstand down enabling the safety shutdown.

Lots of safety interlocks on this bike. Make sure you download a copy of the Repair Manuals for this bike, before they disappear. NOTE: there are two manuals, one for the bike, and a second one, for the radio. Be sure to also download the color wiring schematic: keep it in its original format, as converting it tends to make it unreadable, losing resolution in the conversion process. The wiring schematic is invaluable. Also, the wiring schematic in the online manual, is not readable, on screen or in print... Cheers!
