...So after a long winter , of never ending temps thru the spring of 42 degrees and RAIN , we are finally one week from leaving for the AVA rally in WV. This will be my first rally , NOT riding there I have acquired a Mercedes Benz Sprinter , ....and this trip is the "test drive" . Loading up the bikes , and heading south , If I could post a pic of the new vehicle I would ....... ....see ya all there !
We were planning on trailering our trike to the rally but unless the weather prediction changes we will leave the trike at home and just come down with the pick up. Triked or trikeless we are looking forward to seeing you all there. John and Mary Jane

We are in the discussion mode of leaving the bike at home and bringing the car down also
The weather is not good for bikes or farming, with the farming aspect,it is financially difficult!

Same story here with the farming, almost no corn in the ground and too wet to plant soy beans.

The weather could certainly look better but I’ve left both weekends open on either side so I’m hoping to be able to be flexible enough to dodge the rain a bit at least on the longer travel days from NJ and back. In the ideal world I’m leaving northeast PA on Saturday and travel RT 81 and winding up at Skyline Drive by noonish. Ride Skyline in afternoon and get our hotel reservation in Stauton that night. That gives me an entire day to meander around enroute to Summersville for Sunday evening. Got good rain gear just in case. See you there!
Heading out on Thursday, riding to my mother in-laws. Then on Saturday morning riding to Summersville plan on being at the hotel about 1 PM. Looks like we'll be riding in the rain. But the roads look like even in the rain they'll be fun
Heading out Saturday around 9:00 rain or shine we will be on the bike

Temps teetering at the 80* mark and chances of rain at 50% and lower! Sounds like riding the bike is very doable and odds are in my favor.
Heck, I've ridden in the rain before, coming home from the Ellicottville NY rally I couldn't see more than a few hundred feet but riding is still riding.
After all, it helps wash the stink off!
