Post by cushman eagle »

Reading the Voyagers voice[much thanks Kevin and company :woohoo: ],and saw Kims picture, reminded me of his problem at Summersvile.
Has anyone on here found out what Carl had to do to get it going again :hmm:

He replaced the transmission assembly with one he had with 1800 miles on it. Road it back home to Gurnee , IL from Ormond Beach Florida. Around 1300 miles. Shifted like a new Voyager.

I am glad you got it fixed :woohoo: and that you got to ride it back home
My internet service is too slow to try to load it right now~.42 MB/sec :-O
I will have to wait until I can let it try for a couple hours to see if I can view it.
Thank you for the response .

That bearing certainly did fail! :hmm:
Did Carl give any reason to suspect why? And how to avoid such a failure?
I am in the middle of the repair of a catastrophic transmission failure in a farm tractor, due to a bearing failure. The owner failed to keep an adequate oil level in the transmission, and the repair parts are well over $2,000,with labor expected to be well over twice that! :-O

Carl has never seen this happen before. He has no idea why it failed. He had to split the case on my engine for this repair. He said my engine was very clean and pristine. I change my oil always before 3000 miles.
