Rear Shock and Front Fork Changes
I have a 2000 Voyager, and am looking to convert the suspension from air to normal. For the rear shocks, I was looking at the Progressive 412 series. If i get the progressive fork spring kit for the front, are there any other changes I need to make to get it working?

Please note it is possible to install front progressive springs without removing the forks. Lots of discussion elsewhere on this topic. Also with the 412 rear shock, be sure to get heavy duty springs and not the standard ones.

Thank you for the input, it's good to know I won't have to take the fairings off again to get to the forks. I'll make sure to get the heavy duty springs for the rear shocks as well.Barry wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 8:54 pm Start here: https://www.amervoyassoc.org/techtipsXII.php

.. like all things, I think if you check the archives, there are many thoughts about
the type of rear shocks... I'm a lightweight and think HD shocks would
NOT be a good idea... JM2C ... do your research..... Best to ya!!!! I've
already put in Progressive front, waiting for the rears to go then will
do them... and I will not put on HD shocks.

Re: Rear Shock and Front Fork Changes
If you carry a passenger or pull a trailer, the HD is the way to go. I no longer do either, and the HD set on the lighter settings works fine for my 230 lbs. I've not heard any comparison as to whether the standard or HD provides the best ride when solo. If you aren't aggressive in the corners, the standard should work fine.
