clutch leaf (spider) spring replacements
Hi,
Does anyone know where to get replacement leaf springs (spider) - formerly Kawasaki part 390130-1071? It was 1 spring and was replaced by 2 thinner ones around 1991 (B5). I have a 1991 Voyager.
I think failure of this part is causing clutch slippage. My mechanic has it on order, but it is taking forever to receive. (Not on back order supposedly).
Thanks All
Steve

Pretty sure Partzilla will have what you need. If they don't, try Cycle Parts nation. They had a whole pile of stuff I couldn't find a while back and then I couldn't check out with it because they don't ship to Canada. They also go under South Georgia Honda (Kawasaki). Still a newbie myself, but it seems all I do is look for parts for fun. Others on here will have better input.

Yep. Partzilla has them in stock (39130-1071) Weird though that they don't show on the diagram for your 1991 but do for my '99.

Re: clutch leaf (spider) spring replacements
Thanks for the info Lucky.
It looks like Partzilla only has 1 in stock.
Cycle Parts Nation has 2, but the delivery time is pretty far out. I'm going to wait a couple of days to see if my mechanic's order comes in soon. Supposedly local and in stock.
Pretty weird that it doesn't show up on 1991 diagrams, but it shows up as 2 items for 1999.
The supplemental shop manual shows 2 of them. Design change over the years I guess.

I don’t know the years but I believe the early years didn’t have the spider springs. Both my bikes 1996 and 2002 have them and they were broken on the 2002. Carl Leo would know what years didn’t have them. Or maybe only had one. I don’t know but Carl would know. Give him a call and ask.

The single spring is shown on the 1992 through to the 1995 clutch illustration

Re: clutch leaf (spider) spring replacements
Hello from NJ, with many miles on mine, I have been buying up what I can find. I ordered two spider springs from partzilla and although it took 4 weeks , I did receive them. I also ordered the molded fuel hose from filter to pump. It also took a few weeks.
I don't have a clutch problem with 106,000 miles but just wanted to have them in house.
