Rode with a friend yesterday, actually the guy I bought Gertrude from. Traded bikes for the first leg of the journey; he on Gertrude, me on his Virago 1100. In a word, yuck. LOL. First thing I said when I got on it was, "Damn, this thing is SMALL!". Pulled like a mule from a stop, but other than that I couldn't find a thing better than Gertrude. Gertrude rides better, handles MUCH better, has MUCH better brakes, is more comfortable, and has that blessed fairing and windshield. His bike made my back hurt in the first two miles.
He didn't have time to do the full run up to the Poconos, so we went from Philly to Easton, Rt. 32 through New Hope to Rt. 611, then back down 611 all the way.

Re: Yesterday's Ride
Know the feeling. 6 years ago I rode a friend's then new 2013 Yamaha V-Star 1300 Tourer (bagger). I found the ride in my 2001 Voyager XII much more relaxing and more comfortable. His rode a little rougher even though it had the stock springs. Plus, I like the idea of hitting the cruise control switches and relaxing my wrist.
