HELLO FROM NJ , FIRST DAY IN THE SHOP FOR AN 8.5 HOUR SHIFT. It has been quite some time that I can be on my feet for a whole day. But ' Harry the Hat' stopped in today. I had been out in the shop doing and moving things that I can do since 9am and when he came over after lunch we found enough material to make this cross bar for the front crash bars. Heavy wall 7/8 th's alum tube sleeved with stainless/welded tube. Only issue was a slight loose fit. Not wanting to have such a sloppy fit we just knurled the alum and bingo. Some sanding in a few stages and then off to the buffing wheel for a SHINNY finish. I may even go out today and work some more.
Happy to be alive and still hard to kill.
Gene Kap.
