Tethers, how, pray tell, are they secured to the bags/lids?

Do a search for tethers on this forum,and you should find it
I used weedeater string and wiring eyelets,then used screws to fasten them to the lids and trunk,using the latch screw holes.

I used fishing leaders covered in heat shrink. Pop riveted to the lid, hooked under the latch mounting nuts on the saddlebag body.
