I'm a newbie to the motorbike world- this is my first bike. It was gifted to me from the chapter president of a local MC that knew I wanted to get into the culture.
Anyway, the bike sat for 5 years after it's owner passed away. I received the bike, washed it, put a new battery in it...and it started! Ran super rough- but it ran. Knowing I'd certainly need a tune up, carb rebuild(etc...etc..) I covered it and started getting parts in order. Now, a week later- no start. Changed fuel pump- still no start. It leaked fuel out of the left side of the carb assembly prior to storing it a week, but still ran. Now, nothing. Will start with ether- but acts as if it's not getting fuel.
Only change I made was the pump, and fresh gasoline.
Please help!

Well, fuel, spark, and compression. If it wants to run on ether, I'd start with whether the float bowls have gas in them -- there's a drain on the bottom.
