and finally , the 88' I just got , a quick 10 hour service , front brake calipers needed rebuild , all new pads , front tire had to be removed , serious bead rim leak, drain out the float bowls , fill er up with fresh fuel ....and took it out for a 60 mile ride , it may have 80k on the clock , but that means nothing to these machines as it runs and rides just fine :-D

Yeah Loren , I guess I just cant sit still , and certainly cant look at these great machines being left in such a state of disrepair by previous owner neglect ..... I got a lead on a 99' like yours, says he took the bike apart to fix the carbs , and there it has sat for years in his garage , looking at the picture.....this guy just might have taken off a few extra parts to pull the carbs ! and yes Denny I agree the 87' through 89' in that great looking gold color is also one of my favorites ! ! have had 4 of those , and currently have 2 gold ones ....I like looking at them as much as riding them . :woohoo:

So I got that 88' whipped into shape , did all the maintenance on it , then replaced the stereo that I could NOT get to work ,with a spare Voyager radio stereo that I had on hand , I also installed LED lights up front and a case guard cross bar ,took it out for a nice ride in the 50 degree temps here in northern Ohio in December was a extra bonus for sure ! , Im happy with the way that bike turned out . I followed up with the guy near Cleveland about buying his 99' Voyager , it took a few weeks of back and forth money negotiating , but he finally saw things my way .......and off I went in the Benz to bring her home to Voyager heaven :-D , These 2 young guys bought the bike together and were going to fix it up , so they ripped the whole bike apart a few years ago , and there it sat .....parts and pieces of this poor bike scattered about in the garage and pole barn ! and then the same old excuse "I dont have time" to work on it , when you show up and they are sitting there watching football on TV and drinking a beer  I bet I was there over 2 hours searching for all the parts , heck ...I had to put the sub-frame back on the bike , to get the shocks back on to get the bike up off the floor, to roll it up the ramp and into the back of the Benz :-( Finally got everything I could find loaded up and headed home , welcome Voyager #8 to the shop  here are some pictures .

Hey,Tony, are you able to take enough time off from your Voyager factory to still work on forklifts? :help:
My son wanted another gift card from Fin Feather & Fur outfiters for Christmas, that I was able to take an 80 mile ride to Ashland and back on the VXII
She now has 112,032 miles on it.

Hey Tony, I know these Voyagers have a heart, but those last few pics look like you're giving one XII a transfusion from another XII.
Now that's being a team player I have to say!
