Just thought I'd post this here, in case others were shopping. As far as I can tell, the DIY 7mm stuff should work. They have a ton of colors, if that's your thing. I kinda like the vintage stuff.

That 7mm metal braid core is the correct wire for our Voyager XIIs.

Having flexible wires sure simplified some maintenance like pulling coils.

I may be replacing my wiring in the future. What would be a good rounded total length and then some for mistakes, that i would need? Also, the metal ends and the boots.

I got 7' just to be safe, and had almost exactly 1' left over. I added an extra 2" or so to each length so I'd have extra to trim later on, and so it wouldn't pull quite so tight when I was taking the plugs loose.

I'm sure to buy at least 8ft. By the way, what type of tools did you use to strip and crimp the ends onto the wires? I've got electrical wire crimping pliers. Did you solder or anything else other than crimp? When the time comes i always like to have everything on hand before starting the job.

If I Recall Correctly

There is no crimp on the wires, they stab into the boots. The boots have a prong that inserts into the wires, just by pushing the wires in firmly. So for future reference, and easy fix in many cases for bad wire connections is to pull the wire out of the boot, trim a bit off the end, and cram it back into the boot. You don't even have to pull the boot to do it.

And many, many hard-to-figure-out misfires have turned out to be just that, not pushed into the boots far enough, or gotten rotten on the end and needing trimming. Been there, done that.

All the actual NGK ones I found online shipped from Europe, making them more cost prohibitive. These are Fire Power brand... they seem alright, though the rubber boots on top aren't as nice as the OEM.

The caps have a screw inside, so you slip the cable into the end and twist until it stops.
