What happens when you tip your Voyager over?

Just curious what would happen if I put my food down in some oil and the bike slipped on it`s side are the safety bars enough to keep it from getting damaged?

Well honestly, how is this gonna matter? You probably want to avoid tipping over; but then sometimes it's gonna happen anyway.

Come morning, the sun will rise again. The tip-over bars work.

(You can lay it over in your driveway to check. Probably a good idea to practice picking it back up.)

It matters to me because it happened once before in a parking lot on another dresser but luckily the bars kept it from tipping all the way over I wasn't sure if the Kawasaki had the same ability I was just wondering.

It does, but if they don't have the cross bar between the engine guards they are likely to get bent. Easy to kick back into position. I'm glad you acknowledge that you could drop your bike. Do you know the proper technique for picking up a heavy bike?

I do with a Goldwing, It was a hot day in a parking stall I put my right foot down in oil and against all my power it slowly went down but to my surprise not all the way just a 30 degree or so angle.

I agree with Denny and Nails. I have 3 times had to lift my Voyager XII. First in the back yard, ground was very wet, and it slipped out from under me, 2nd was trying to turn around on a mountain trial and hit a small gully (don't ask, long story), and lastly halfway to work it started to rain so I stopped - dropped the side stand and began donning my rain gear. Then with one leg in and one out I watched my bike slowly roll off the side stand due to facing slight downhill (like a dream, all I could do was watch it happen!).
Each time the engine guards/bars did their job. Kawasaki's design is amazing in that the bike doesn't actually lay flat. It's more of an angle and much easier to lift using proper lifting techniques (as Denny mentioned).
Put your back to the bike, bend your knees and with a firm grip straighten your legs and the bike is up! Any 95lb girl can lift a XII doing it that way.
if it lays for a little while it may take a few cranks till it fires but all is good!
Nails advised practicing in your driveway; I agree. Lay a moving blanket down if you wish just to protect the bars from any scuffing.

Yep, that's all the farther she'll go too. Looks like we may be related some distant way.

Even if they do go all the way over, it's really easy to bring them up to the "normal""down" point. Then plant your ass on the seat, grab the handlebars and the passenger grab rail, and walk backwards.
