This is a plea for some pictures and an article from the Moonshine 2014. The pictures would like some of the group with motorcycles, the hamburgers, at dinner, just lots of pictures and then an article from one or more of the attendees.

:woohoo: FWIW:
I and two other riders did a pre Moonshine check today. One rider from Kentucky, one from Indiana, and myself. I am happy to report that every thing is gearing-up for the 10th annual Lunch Run.
The burgers are perfect and Helen will be pleased to see everyone.

I get a call from Rick on Thursday saying he can't go to Moonshine cause there's an issue with the engine in his Voyager. I told him he was, in fact, going. So today......

.........we put another engine in it.

Rick was changing the water manifold o-rings and one of the bolts for the oil line pulled the threads out with it. Looked like someone might have been in there before. I didn't think we'd be able to find a metric helicoil kit for that big of a bolt on short notice AND be able to get it installed straight. Those banjo fittings don't tolerate too much of a variance between sealing surfaces.

A friend of ours had picked up an extra engine some time back. Rick got it after Spike passed away last year. Unknown miles and un-tested, but a '91 vintage. Never hurts to have one laying around, I guess. (I have one too, :wnk2: )

Everything is looking up for us this coming weekend at Moonshine! The weather is going to be great! (Around 70 degrees) but best of all Rick and Chris will make it!

Neal is coming from Michigan and Jim is doing a Iron Butt from Florida. Bill and I are coming from Indy and it will be his first Moonshine.

I hope to everyone at the Dinner Friday night about 5pm for pictures.

The weather does look great. However I do not get to go. Other commitments. Oh well maybe next year. I am glad Rick has his bike running, what a great story of commitment to the ride of a Voyager. Makes me look rather wimpy.

Guys, can't wait for this trip. I'm almost packed and most certainly ready to get on the road. Looking forward to meeting new folks and re connecting with old ones.
I'm heading out about 1:00 PM Thursday and meeting Neal in Indy Friday morning about 8:00 AM. If anyone wants to meet and ride from Indy over to Casey, drop me a note.
