The Snake is as good as the Dragon to me. There is also the Diamondback which is a lot closer to Asheville. And a pretty good restaurant up at Spruce Pine just off the Diamondback loop... Mountain View which is very biker friendly.

Just read on another forum that the Diamondback loop is being repaved right now and should be completed in 1 to 2 weeks. Would be an excellent little loop from Asheville...
