Re: miles on your Voyager
With the help of Tony (Lucasind) I found a 2002 in Maumee, Ohio just 6 weeks ago, with only 28,030.....I've moved the quintessentials,,,, 404 tires gone, moved the CB, trailer hitch, SuperBrace, and progressive front springs. Got some decent grips, better headlight, and changed the oil. It now shows 34,117.
We won't even go into how many miles on the older 2001 that's still out in the shed........

Re: miles on your Voyager
Neal good going. I guess they all have to retire sometime. Tony, thanks for helping Neal.
I bought my Voyager 1700 on Dec 27, 2011. It now has 83,000 miles, this is all due to being retired. I was once like everyone that still works. Dreaming of being retired so I could go ride.

Re: miles on your Voyager
I found my Voyager XII back in Dec .of 2012....Not exactly the best time of the year to go out of town to ride home a new bike around here ! I was snoopin around on-line and saw a 03 ' XII in
Wadsworth OH. at a shop called "Johnny's Vintage Cycle" about 2.5 hours from my house. He was asking $5300.00 but since it was winter and I had cash... we shook hands at $4250.00 The bike had just turned 16k on the clock and was like getting a new bike to me, well...I've had 2 great summers and 10 thousand trouble free miles
in fact the ONLY thing that has failed on the bike ...is a blown out license plate light
I later found this Voyager XII report on-line...and realized that it was about MY bike !

Re: miles on your Voyager
..... Very funny Loren.....Back in Dec.2012 ,I did'nt even know ya yet ! You would have looked out your window and said "who the heck is this NUT rollin up our driveway on this cold December
day ?.....Not to mention the looks I got from people on the way home with my new bike riding 80/90 west that cold December day.....
needless to say , I did NOT see another rider that day ! , I had on MANY layers of clothes... then
squeezed into my Carharts, I looked like the Michelin man......and all in all it was'nt to bad....tony

Yah,Tony,I know you didn't know me yet,but I have to find something to do in this loooong coooold winter ,so I made a comment to try to take up time. For what it is worth,I was watching that bike on ebay when you bought it, to see what they were going for at the time.

Re: miles on your Voyager
....Yes, we are not enjoying this morning -7 (actual) winter blast following yesterday's new snow fall.
I'm not even going out to the shop today cause it's just too darn cold out ! I'm staying in ...checking off a couple jobs off of Pam's "honey DO" list ...then , heading out to my favorite roosts for a glass of draft beer and some wings ...stay warm, our turn is coming.................tony
Oh yeah...I only rode this new connie twice before winter set in.....no plates or insurance on it ...so it was just put away till spring with 10,600 miles in it.......dyin to go ridin here in frigid Toledo !
