So, I am looking to get a motorcycle lift for when I am needing to change oil mainly. But also to lift it up when I am working on some of the lower parts of the bike.
I am thinking of a center stand type where after I'm done using the jack, I can store it off to the side.
Now with my '86 XII, I know the exhaust pipes are lower than the frame. Will that be an issue having the bike weight sitting on the exhaust?
I would like to have a bike table for sure, but at the same time, I don't have the extra room in my garage to put something that big in and leave it. I want to be able to put my car in the garage during the wintertime as well.
If anyone here has a jack they use, what is it? And did you make any modifications to it to have the bike weight not sit on the exhaust pipes? Did you have to do anything to take in consideration for the center stand?

Re: Motorcycle Lift
The HF High Position Motorcycle Lift would be perfect... If the exhaust pipes did not sit lower than the frame tubes! Have not been able to modify the Lift. Had it sitting in my garage for a few years now, but have never actually used it lift more than myself, for a test. Price is nice, looks capable on the videos posted on YouTube... Just need to find/make an adapter, but I don't weld, so I'm out to pasture, watching my Lift rust, s-l-o-w-l-y... Cheers!
