valve cover gasket
Is it actually possible to remove the valve covers with the engine in the frame? (Let's just say that it doesn't jump apart.)

Re: valve cover gasket
Never mind -- I got it. Pray I can get the new gasket in unmangled. (I'm getting too familiar with the top front of the motor, too.)
I fabricated a streamlined reed valve system from 2" aluminum flatbar. That'll simplify things considerably.

And it went together a lot easier than it came apart.
Fork seals next. And then, Allah willing, I'm down the road.
