I see no reason why not assuming it’s properly maintained. The weak point here is the human not the machine. I’ve ridden mine many long days with absolutely no issues. Check with the Iron Butt Assoc and see if anyone ever used one on the rally.

Re: road worthy?
Yes, I've done two long rides on mine. The first was in 2012 May, my Voyager was stock except for a Corbin seat and Clearview shield. I rode from Denver to L. A. In 17 hours temps from 35 to 106.
Next was last year the Voyager 1700 was displaying 140,000 plus on the ODO. I left Montgomery, AL at 5 am and rode to Kansas City, KS. 7 PM temps all day were 99, I was also pulling a trailer. My body said enough on the last trip. I made it to Denver the next day. I've done Houston to Half Moon Bay, CA. In less than 48 hours including sleep time that's 1,800 miles.
This summer the the Voyager (ODO 158,000) Will be heading to southern California, then north to Fairbanks, AK. Pulling a trailer, this trip will be about 11,000 miles. I'll be using Amsoil 10-40 so I don't have to change oil until I arrive home. Oh yes I live in Wilmington, NC

So Don I know having met you that your a pretty prolific rider. Having a bike with this many miles is a great resource for the rest of us. My 2017 has only 13K. Any words of wisdom for us about getting longevity from our bikes or breakdowns that happened to you. The wife and I are planning 2 week long trips this year, Summerville and Maine with Rolling Through America. Both are really long walks home. Obviously factory recommended maintenance first and foremost but any additions would probably be a good read to the rest of us. I really have grown to love my bike and look forward to getting it to be a high mileage example some day. Thanks Steve G
