Clutch friction plate replacement
Has anyone here done a clutch friction plate (only) replacement on a 94. If so, is it a straight forward process like most bikes?

Re: Clutch friction plate replacement
I had a rattle in my '99 early this year,which I incorrectly thought may have been loose tangs on my discs. To check them out,I removed them, which checked out to be in specification.So,yes it is very straight forward with no special tools needed,other than a torque wrench.
At that time,it had 79,000 miles on the original discs,and they were well within specs.
The rattle turned out to be a loose bolt which holds the alternator drive coupling on.
