While searching the back pages for a post by "Rome1" in this forum, dated October 31, 2018, entitled "Tapping" and posted at 1:09pm it seems as though there may be some missing posts between the end of page 7 and the start of page 6. Page 7 ends with a post on October 22 2018 about Markland Backrest Repair and page 6 starts with a post about New Member on November 12, 2018.
However if I use the search function I can find the October 31 post "Tapping" on Page 2 of the results. Am I missing something here? Are there some missing posts in the time frame I mentioned or is it just me?

Re: missing posts
Maybe it's somehow associated with when the whole website went down (without complete backup) a couple years ago. I don't think everything was salvaged.

Re: missing posts
Yeah I thought that may be the case as you mentioned but how and why does the post show up using the search function for "Tapping" when I am logged in on the General-Voyager XII forum? I would have thought that if the post was scrubbed from the archive pages any trace of it would have been scrubbed from the entire site, including while using the search function.
This isn't a major problem for me but it is a royal pita when I refer guest visitors to a post to garner some info from and it isn't there. Not being paid members they do not have the search function as I do.
Perhaps the posts from the time frame I mention are still around in archived search form and simply need to be re-posted to their appropriate date/time slot on the forum back pages?

Re: missing posts
Yeah, as I recall, old posts from Somewhere were manually re-entered to Somewhere else -- for some reason, they couldn't be imported. So maybe Search looks at the first Somewhere, which is different from the second Somewhere that ordinarily shows up. Maybe that second Somewhere is protected from the unwashed masses?
(Obviously, at least some of us have use for the Lost Posts.)
