Good day folks . I hope everyone is doing their best to stay safe. Any suggestions on where to install my little go pro lookalike camera. I would like to see the camera. I had it on my helmet for a while, but didn't know if I was taping or not.. since I have a remote control unit, i don't need access to the camera while I'm riding.
Thank you jp

Re: Action cam
I have mine mounted on top of the dashboard, to the left of the HUD unit. I know what you mean, too, about making sure it's recording. I've missed a bunch of cool stuff because the helmet-mounted cam wasn't recording when I thought it was.

Re: Action cam
I have not mounted mine, yet. I don't like mounting anything on my helmet, in case of a Get-Off. If it snags on something, it could catch, and... Helmets, per the Hurt Study, increase your chances of survival by 20%. I want every percentage point I can get. Wouldn't care to have the camera destroyed in a Get-Off, either. Aside from that, I don't care for the swooshing/reeling camera view you get from helmet mounted cameras. Just my preferences.
I've survived four Low-Sides: one as a child, three as an adult. Fell backwards, getting off the back, once, suffered a mild concussion, with a helmet on! Blacktop is particularly hard. Cheers!

Re: Action cam
Well, It has been a year and a half. The camera is mounted to the left speaker cover. I've cut out a square hole to accommodate the USB cable that can be plugged in all the time. Also cut a larger USB and use it as a plug to keep the case waterproof if the weather calls for it. I also glued a little plastic magnifying lens in the corner where the charge and record lights are. I could barely see the lights prior to the upgrade. Now every thing is great
I sent Kevin some pics, I hope he get them on for me. Thanks JP
