Needing that double-S fuel pump line

Post by Cherryriver »

I am at a loss how to replace the fuel line with the multiple bends at the fuel pump. I'm not sure I can make conventional fuel line make all those bends without kinking.
Pretty much all of my other "rubber" lines disintegrated during disassembly so I'm none to keen about re-installing this piece.
Suggestions?

Buy some quality fuel line then cut to length bend it to estimated length

Put heavy-ish copper wire in the hose(heavy enough to hold the hose in the shape you need)(a coat hanger will work too). Bend a little more than you want to allow for recoil. Dunk in boiling water until completely heated. Dunk in cold water to set. Pull out wire. Voila, formed hose. Trim the ends if long better to estimate a bit long.
