So I've discovered that my spark plug caps are barely sitting on the plugs, not snapping on. The least little wiggle and they slide right off (number 3 is the worst, number 1 is actually fine). I'm having some firing issues, and I'm wondering if this is the root cause.
Is there anything that can be done to remedy this? New caps, if you can find them, look to be $40 EACH.

OK, maybe never mind. I think i just wasn't pushing them down far enough. It was clicking on, but when I decided to get a little rough with it, it snapped on even harder. Hard to tell when it's buried way down in the engine and your having to feel things out through long-handled needle nose pliers.

Re: Spark plug caps are loose?
It seems you fixed your issue, but I ran into a similar problem with one of my Vulcans. The little 'torsion bar' (for lack of a better term) spring inside the spark plug cap that holds the cap tightly on to the threaded part of the spark plug terminal, had broken off. Replacement OEM caps are outrageously expensive, so I purchased a complete set of realtively new, but used, OEM coils along with wires/caps for less than the price of a single OEM cap.
