Voyager XII Rotor Covers
Weird as it is, I'd love to have a set of these rotor covers on my bike. They appear to be high-grade unobtainium. If anyone knows of a set wasting away somewhere, I'd be super interested. Are there any drawbacks to having them installed?

Re: Voyager XII Rotor Covers
The only drawback is if one does NOT machine .047 " from the top/outside LH surface of the speedo drive gear housing as is outlined in the installation pamphlet; said pamphlet accompanies each new set and is also available in the Tech Center for the Voyager XII under the heading of "Accessories".
Also note that the RH wheel spacer, if being reused, must have the correct dimensions as shown for the "new included kit spacer" when the covers/kit is new/unwrapped from the manufacturer.
Without the machining and proper dimensions for the RH wheel spacer the internal fork bushings will be subject to undue forces and wear characteristics. The forks may even appear to bind when oscillating up and down due to the imposed off center stresses between the bushings and the fork tubes. Pay particular attention to these informations!
Other than the machining and proper dimensions wheel spacer there are no apparent cosmetic drawbacks except for the PITA of holding them in place when one is re-installing the wheel by one's self. I have found that masking tape or a second set of hands to be of great help.
