5 function meter install

All my other bikes have had at least an outside air Temp Gauge (even my 82 Honda GL500 Silverwing). So I really miss knowing if I am really hot - or just imagining it! Especially in the June through September months here in the California Central Valley. Plus a clock is great to know when it is time for a break.

So, I did get the 5 function Show Chrome Meter. I struggled with placement and the ability to remove if and when we the bike would be outside in the rain.

So. - pictures can be seen at this link - I used a stair nosing as the device to assist in attaching the meter.

I have that same meter. Mine is mounted directly between the handlebars where it says Kawasaki on the plastic shroud.

Nice install - I have the same meter installed with the Velcro at the base of the right-side speaker. It's worked well there for the last couple of years, although I keep having to replace the Velcro. Your idea of the stair nose will likely solve the issue I've had with water. It seems to take it on and "fill"
the panel between the LCD and the plastic cover. Though it eventually dries up (and the unit seems to keep working) I just don't like to have something on the bike susceptible to rain like that. You gave me an idea! Thanks! Now if I could only figure out a better way to mount than the Velcro...

I've got the same meter permanently installed like Kevin, except at the left hand speaker. I used Shoe Goo for the adhesive - sort of permanent. I mounted it "out" from the speaker so there is space between the meter and the speaker to allow me to slide a southern-engineered rain cover over it when needed. The cover was a shampoo bottle in a previous life.
