The Wife & I took a trip to Maine back in July 2011 to see the Lighthouses and stayed on Bar Harbor then went down the coast of Maine checking out the Lighthouses on our way to Long Island, took the ferry from New London, CT to Orient Point, NY on the Island, seen friends, went to the city, then we all went to Gettysburg, PA and then went to Washington DC, there is a lot of nice lighthouses in Maine and some neat ones on the ferry ride to the Island.
But our Vacation ended in a "train wreck"

You need to find humor in a train wreck!
And I have had to find humor in my/our train wrecks through life!!

Re: Lighthouses in Maine
I spent two weeks in Maine sailing on the "Victory Chimes" she is a 165 foot three masted schooner out of Rockland and she is also the ship on the Maine quarter. Took dozens of pictures of dozens of Light houses and beautiful coastline. What a great way to see a Beautiful state. Next time, I will Ride up, spend a week on the boat and ride home.
