oil filters for Voyager 12, formerly at Walmart

When Walmart had the oil filters for Voyager 12, Fram CH6012, i should have bought a couple, but of course i didn't. Now i can't find them, and probably have to order from a dealer. [far ride], and triple the price no doubt. I wonder if any other store beside Walmart might still carry those ?

$5.79 at AutoZone (available in New York). OReilly's also carries them at $5.79, but not in the New England northeast states.
You can ask about ordering and such elsewhere but price(??). Amazon.com has them, but shipping makes them more expensive on the average.
I just did a Walmart online search. It is available in limited stores. It will tell you if any are available nearby. Mine (Phoenix) showed 3 stores within 50miles: one didn't carry it; one was out of stock; and one shows available. The price of gas tells me that it is cheaper to pay a little more close by.
Ebay has them, but shipping again is more. One guy has 3 with ship for about $18.85 total if no one else bids against you. Saves on gasoline to go get, so maybe ok price.

Oh yes, I took one once (actually bought 2, prefer having one in stock at home) and found it was missing the O'rings. OReilly's made it good with an exhange for one that had them.

I forgot to mention that I can get the Fram CH6012 filters at my local O'Reilly Auto Parts store. The NAPA filters I sometimes get come from a NAPA store of course.

Yes she's an 86 .got her for a steel with a loose chain noise coming from the motor(can ya get where this is going?)After about 1 season the chain (starter) BROKE .Even though i new it was going to happen i was still devistated. The motor had only 47,000 mls on it & ran like brand new.
It was then when i called & had the pleasure of talking with the famous Mr.leo. he sold me a mint condition LOW mileage motor for a very reasonable price.He also was very helpful with my questions with the install,& insisted i call with any problems( witch i did) Anyway thats my story & with the help of mr Leo & all the info on this site ive been riding ever since
Oh ya ...by the way im in Mastic shirley area & have never seen another v12 yet!

I have found filters that match the Voyager's at Advance Auto parts also.

The filters are quite common, used in many different applications (Kawasaki 440LTD, Honda CB750K/C/F). What is not so common, is the O-rings: check before you buy, to make sure they are exact matches. A gentleman on a Honda CB750 forum recently bought the correct filter, but it came with the wrong O-rings: he had a terrible oil leak, and it took him a while to determine that the new O-rings were the wrong size -- had to install the old O-rings. Cheers!

I use the Wix 24941, works great and the O-rings are perfect.
