Help finding and repairing clutch fluid leak.
I was going to ride, but found my clutch was not operating because all the fluid was missing from the reservoir. Where is the best place to start to find my leak?

I would think just add some fluid in your reservoir, squeeze the lever a few times, and see where it might be leaking. Pull the left side access cover off of the engine so you can see the clutch bleed valve- maybe that loosened somehow.

Re: Help finding and repairing clutch fluid leak.
A similar thing happened to me last summer on my way to the rally in Kanab, Utah. I pulled in to Groveland, CA just outside Yosemite and each pull of the clutch gave less and less response. Pulled the top off the reservoir and it was empty. Filled it up but never found a leak. That was over 15,000 miles ago and still no leak and no more problem. I have no idea where the clutch fluid went.

Baby powder works great for finding leaks. Clean the area off with carb cleaner and let it dry, sprinkle baby powder around the area you suspect and work the clutch, if there is anything you will see it right off the bat. Plus clean up is simple
