2013 Progressive International Motorcycle Show

Post by joelcolletti »

Wow: It's hard to believe that the 2013 Progressive International Show was here and gone till next year.

A few of our NorCal Voyager Club Members came out for a sunny day full of fun and fellowship while getting tires mounted, shopping for gear, taking in the racing and the jaw dropping bikes.

I finally found some motorcycle gloves that fit and are suitable for the weather here on the coast and a mesh armored motorcycle jacket for those sweltering days away from the coast. Now I'm set for a while for gear. Some of the vendors didn't mind me negotiating on price, so I feel I got some good deals there.

I had the chance to ride an Indian motorcycle 111 cubic inches of fun, and I renewed my ROK Membership at the event. I really liked the treats and refreshments under the ROK tent for ROKers. There were long lines for ROK Demo Rides, and many scrambling to get on the new 1700s. My ROK kit arrived this weekend with lots of goodies too.

Oh and almost forgot to mention: Look who was there too

The event was so much fun, and while there were only a few of us attending, it was difficult keeping track of where any of us were at any given time.

We met several vendors we know, and I was glad to reconnect with Mario at Freedom Rides Trike Conversion and the folks from Galfer Performance Brake Systems who makes the great brake pads and stainless steel brake lines our Club offers.

We spent the entire day there and even got a signed autograph from Scott Russell aka Mr. Daytona a product of East Point, Georgia http://www.scottrussellracing.com/.

Lastly, the Slot Car track was a blast. I took this 12 second video as my camera was running out of battery power. Click on photo below to open the video; and afterwards, you can check out some other photos of the event by clicking on the 2013 Progressive link in the upper right hand corner.

Hoping the Progressive Intl MC Show made it to your town this year, and to see some of our other Members at this event in the years to come.
