low tech brake tip

If you are going to R&R your brake pads and R&R the brake fluid in the same maintenance operation, do the pads first. If you already changed the fluid & topped it off, then do the pads, the new, thicker pads will force fluid back into the master cylinder making it overfull & require you to siphon off the overage. Doh! :oops:

good advise....I like to open the bleeder to compress the piston for the new pads. That way I'm always adding new clean fluid and never pushing the old fluid back into the master.
