 Well said, Rusty. With advice from all the folks here, my Kawi is also running and riding like a dream, making it a real blast to ride! The riding experience takes me back to the sound and feel of my old Z-1 and KZ-1000 bikes...exciting machines.

I use Bell Ray 80W-90 Gear oil.

Be sure not to over fill it. Keep the oil about 1/4" below the threads

What ever brand of oil you use only fill with 180 cc. Remember only 180 cc no more and no less. Enjoy you ride.

Hello

And I recommend 75W synthetic gear oil - better cleans, lubricates and removes heat from the transmission. I use oil of the German company Liqui Moli http://www.liqui-moly.de/liquimoly/prod ... db=web.nsf

Since I use of this oil, and since I did venting transmission - is quiet and without any leaks.
