Moved my trunk back.
I moved my trunk back with extenders. I just went ahead and made them myself. I was looking for creative ideas to fill the hole between the seat and trunk. Not very pretty. Any ideas?

What about some type of fanny pack
Velcroed to the tour pack? Just to fill in that space.

Many have strapped the tool kit there.

Wide black duct tape or wide electrical tape. If your local hardware store or Home Depot doesn't have it you can get it on line.

I store my bike cover there. Helps with the lumbar for the passenger.

I just stash my gloves in there when I park the bike. Nobody has bothered to take them, by the way.

Re: Moved my trunk back.
+1 Chris! We store our bike cover there, as well. It also, as mentioned, helps the passenger's lumbar, by supporting it better -- actually makes it more comfortable to ride back there.
If you travel, a cover over your bike is a great asset. It keeps the lookie-loo's at bay, as they can't just walk up, and look your bike over -- or sit on it! It slows thieves down, as they would have to mess with the cover, to get into your bike -- they're lazy, and they look for the easiest, quickest theft possible. It keeps the rain and dew off of your bike, overnight -- a good water-proof coating is highly recommended (Nikwax makes a tent water-proof coating which should work well -- have it, but have not had a chance to apply it/test it yet). Cheers!

I mounted an alarm there, and used a Velcro strip to attach the pouch from the Utopia backrest in front of it to hide it and to use for storage.

Re: Moved my trunk back.
All good ideas. I wanted to try a tool kit there but could not find a box or roll pouch that would work. Any ideas on that? Also I think the cover is a good idea. Both of those things doesn't need to be taking up trunk and side bag space. Thanks

Re: Moved my trunk back.
You could always have someone sew up a roll-type tool pouch for you. Figure out what tools, and visit an upholstery shop, to see if they will sew the pouch up for you, using either sea-grade vinyl, or a very heavy fabric. They have the heavy-duty fabrics and vinyl materials, as well as the equipment, to sew them. Cheers!
