New windshield
It's time for a new windshield. My original is scratched and hazy and was also trimmed down by the previous owner allowing a lot of turbulent air to crash right into my passenger.
She's not liking it a bunch needless to say.
Its probably going to be a clearview or cee bailey but any recomendations on sizes beyond stock would be helpful.

Re: New windshield
I went with with the 4" taller Cee Bailey. If that is to tall you can send it back and they will trim it down. They only charge you for shipping for a one time downsize. It is a lot easier to take some off then it is to add to it.
The wife really likes the difference.

Re: New windshield
I have the 4" taller & wider Cee Bailey. I love it. No buffeting on my helmet at all. Wind problems are a thing of the past. I'm 6ft. I look thru the windshield, No problem for me at all.
Windshield heights & width are a personal preference, there's no right or wrong
Either brand is good, Cee Bailey shipped fast & has excellent customer service to.

Re: New windshield
I'm pretty sure that is the first time I have ever seen an item in a J.C.Whitney catalog for a Voyager.

Ken, Larry
what did you guys think about the Cee Bailey shield not having that black gradient trim on the bottom? Did it look like something was missing when you first installed it?

I also have the Cree Bailey windshield and have never missed the original graduated black trim at the lower section by the fairing.

Re: New windshield
I missed the black for about 2 minutes. Once I got it mounted I did not feel like it was missing anything.ScottLee wrote:Ken, Larry

Re: New windshield
If you live anywhere the temps get into the 90's you really NEED the vent.

Re: New windshield
The wife keeps asking what I want for my b-day. A new oversize vented shield just got put on the list. We'll see how that flys...

Re: New windshield
if you want it moved to the top of the list show her the posts here that indicate that the passengers loved the improvement of riding with less buffeting on them.

Back in the day! lol !! the 86 & 87 XII's windshields had a coating on them and they scratched real easy when you cleaned them (spiderwebbing) it was called, Kaw replaced them under warranty, I had 4 of them, I got tired of getting the same ones all the time , The lady at Kaw said they could not get different ones cause they owned the company that made them, anyway I finally got one from J.C. Whitney, (slipstreamer) at about the same price as now!! great windshield, had it on the 86 for about 10 yrs, no problems..

Re: New windshield
I'm using a Clearview shield. It's a 2+2 (2" higher plus 2" wider) with the vent. Really like it. Some have posted that they had Clearview raise the position of the vent for them. Stock position makes it hard to clean the dash.
