OK, the bikes is running well, but I'm having a couple issues:
Are the dash light supposed to come on when you turn the bike on? Mine aren't
The OD light doesn't seem to work anymore. It did before I had to get the gauges and radio out.
The neutral light is on now no matter what gear I'm in. It goes off when I pull in the clutch. The bike also won't start if I don't have the clutch in.
I had to adjust the cable for the cruise control. Now the light comes one when I push the power button, but the cruise won't engage.
Any ideas?

Did you download the wiring diagram? Go to http://www.zg1200.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Sounds like connection issues when you unplugged. Without see the wiring, also look at the main connectors under the RH fairing side, large white one. Did you do anything with the clutch switch at the master, or kickstand switches?

Re: a couple of electrical issues
I didnt specifically change any wiring, but I did have to disconnect a lot of things when removing the guages and stereo. I also removed the cb from the bike. I don't recall changing any wires, but a lot of time passed between times of working on the bike, so I may have forgotten something.
Also, is there an neutral safety switch on the transmission? I called the Kawi shop but they couldn't find one on their diagram. I'm wondering if that might be part of the problem.

You download the diagram off the site I mentioned? These bikes can get a lot of corrosion in the connectors, when apart, look at them, use electrical cleaner. If you weren't down by the transmission, then look at all the connections up top.

Yes, I have the diagrams and the manual. No, we weren't down by the transmission at all, bu we didnhave a lot of the connectors apart. There's dielectric grease in many of them.
