clutch
I started my bike after sitting for 2 years. I put a new battery in it and started bike. I drove it about 100 yds., the front brake would not release but was able to drive anyways. I put it under carport and let it sit over night. I came out next day and started up and put it in gear. I let clutch lever all the way out and nothing. Any ideas?

Re: clutch
Hello from NJ, brake fluid in both the brake and clutch have a nasty habit of absorbing moisture. It will gum up and become useless. Good chance that is the cause of both the brakes hanging up and the clutch fluid not returning up to the master cyl. After 2 years of sitting your fuel is also in poor shape, and you may have rust in the gas tank also. I would suggest doing some much needed maintenance before putting it back into service.rrrperry wrote:I started my bike after sitting for 2 years. I put a new battery in it and started bike. Take a look into the sight glass of both cyl's , If the fluid looks like brown syrup , its well past time for a change.

Re: clutch
Thank you very much Gene, you were right on with your answer. I emptied them both and refilled and bled. Now it works like new. Marc
