Voyager XII vs Cavalcade
Body styles look almost identical.
Are they , except for engines?

Re: Voyager XII vs Cavalcade
Not really. Cavalcade (Suzuki) is considerably heavier, more expensive when new, longer wheelbase, taller seat height, got much poorer mpg, and were made for only four years. The XII handles much better (reportedly, I have no personal experience.) The Cavalcades are now expensive to repair and parts are hard to find. However both Cavalcade and Voyager look like the 1200 Goldwing by design as they were marketed to compete with Honda.

Re: Voyager XII vs Cavalcade
rattlecade is no way comparable with the voyager. the plastic is very thin and fragile. there are no parts available and it is a horror show to work on...........

Re: Voyager XII vs Cavalcade
Thanks and I pray you are wrong. I have just invested $1800 in an 86 Cavalcade. I get a real good feeling from the guy I am buying it from. If I like it I'll be selling my PC
Kind of bitter sweet. If I don't like it I'll keep the pc and continue my search for a XII. Here is a pIc of my new ride with it's former owner. I will get it in a week or two.https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =1&theater

Yes, stick around here. We have members who ride different makes. However, you might want to add this link to your bookmarks:

Wow, that looks more like a Goldwing than the XII does! I wonder if Honda also sued Suzuki?? Anyway, if you end up not liking it or having problems to $$$ or difficult to fix you can probably triple your money parting it out to other Cavalcade owners!

Re: Voyager XII vs Cavalcade
Ride it for a couple of years, once it breaks, tear it down and part it out on EBay. Get your money back X2 and then hunt for a 2000-2003 Voyager XII!

Re: Voyager XII vs Cavalcade
Already bookmarked and researched. Good info, but not much of a forum like this.
( this forum rocks) but did find another
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Cavalcade_USA/info
The numbers of Cavs are not there as compared to XII
I was close to buying the pristine 96 in NC, Texted the dealer
and his partner had sold the bike. I had already found the Cav with a Buy it now price of $1800, starting bid 1400 and had a lot of watchers. Did not want to get into a bidding war. So I snatched it then.
Spent probably 2 days of multiple texts to owner and then about 2 hours getting to know him on the phone. Never having made a purchase of this size off of ebay. I was able to visit his Facebook page and get a feel for his honesty as a person and seller. Nice guy. Still trying to arrange shipping. I would pick up , but do not have the time off from prior commitments to do it. Thanks again

Re: Voyager XII vs Cavalcade
I owned a 'Cade before a voyager and prefer the Cade. I'd gladly trade my 95 for one.

Re: Voyager XII vs Cavalcade
Back in 05 when i was looking at a Cavalcade . Then Carl steered me away from them.
If Bob bought one, hope it's been a good bike.
