2010, 1700 nner fairing/cowling. Item 55027-0063-6Z

I have developed a crack at each of the 2 screws near the windshield.
Does anyone know if this is a warranty or recall issue?
or
Has anyone ever replaced one? What is involved?

If you have extended warranty, I'd take it to the dealer and have him start the claim process. I looked at mine and didn't see any cracks in the area you described.

As for R & R of this I hope someone chimes in

No cracks, but have had my bike apart.

Just follow the service manual. You will pretty much strip all the plastics off the front end of the bike.

Recalls are only for safety related items. Warranty should cover it unless they say someone over torque the fasteners, or some other be that dealer use to get out of doing warranty work. Make sure and let them know that if it is not covered under warranty, you will buy the part online and install yourself. ;)
