New floorboard covers.

Post by Mr Jensee »

Hey Gator Mike. I have a cure for the rear floorboad uglies! Mounted them yesterday. Had to drill holes and tap them for new screws, added red loctite to make sure the screws don't come out. Enjoy!

Sorry about that, I figured that was common knowledge here. :bat: The part numbers are for the Kawasaki Nomad. Covers are p/n14090-1907 (left side) & p/n 14090-1908 (right side) and are stock Kawasaki part numbers. All I had to do was get 4 6mm 1/2" long Phillips head screws and a matching tap. Pulled the rubber covers off each floorboard and drilled the holes in the matching locations under each to match predrilled holes on the chrome plates. Bolted them on, then snapped the rubber pads back on the tops of the floorboards. Took about 30 min. start to finish. They were a perfect fit.

It's been a while since I purchased them, this was a post from last year. I do remember that one side cost more than the other one. Checking Babbits Online parts listing the 4090-1907 costs $32.67 and the 4090-1908 costs $26.62. And, hey Gator Mike, you haven't seen it since I put the back rest on it! :gig:

Nothing special, at the time the picture was taken I think I had used a carnuba wax on it. I was just lucky that this was a pristine bike when I bought it.
