1700 Engine Heat

I just got my Voyager back from its 3750 Service. I had them flush out the original factory coolant and install Engine Ice as per Duane Ash's suggestion. It runs much cooler and a definite differance in heat on the right side.

I'm glad it worked for you, but I heard that you really need to stay on top of it..

I heard that you have to check the fluid level regularly w/ Engine Ice...

Please let me know if that's true...

Well I have about 700 miles on the bike since the change to engine ice and I have not noticed any problems at all. In traffic in high ambient temperature the gauge still goes up till the fan kicks on. But once underway the bike runs much cooler. My wife even noticed the differance from the back seat. So far so Good!

The best solution I found to get the bike cooler is a little more pricey than replacing the coolant, but the benefits justify the added expense. I installed an Air Kit from Thunder Mfg along with a Fuel Processor by Cobra (as well as a set of Cobra Tri-Oval Slip-Ons). A Fuel Processor alone will make your engine run cooler - couple that with more air (Air Kit) and you will be amazed how much cooler the bike runs! Not to mention the increased performance - it's just a win-win situation.
