Got a tech tip for Voyager 12's from your personal experiences, or one complete with pictures and instructions, here's where to post it. You can also ask about tips or procedures here.
Rick wanted me to post up some pics of his handywork. He has some of those chrome vent covers on his Voyager XII. What he did, was to grab some magnetic material and cut out some pieces that where the same size as the chrome vent covers. I believe he put some little bumps for the screw heads but he can chime in here after a bit. By covering the the vents, you eliminate the cold weather from getting in, which keeps you warmer in the cockpit. He said he's ridden it to work (interstate miles) and they've stayed put, so if you're looking for some additional warmth this winter, you might try something like this. Easy and affordable!

Larry that's not dust, that's reflections from items left strewn about on the floor (scissors, plastic pocket, left over magnetic sheet trimmings).Chris would never have dust on one of his XII's!
Hey Chris did I do good?

I sent pics of my '01 to a friend who rides BMW. He sent me an email back asking what he was seeing in the paint. I told him we non-BMW riders call those reflections.
Do you happen to have a template for those covers? Is there another alternative if you do not have the chrome covers? I tried a fridge magnet and of course it did not adhere due to a lack of metal. I ride year round', except in snow. Would love to find a way to eliminate some cold air.

the chrome covers are screwed into the black plastic around the vent. you could cut and polish some sheet metal and mount it over the vents or use plastic or material of choice.
