wear & tear on wiring bundle
The wire bundle that goes from the igniter, forward along the right side of the frame toward the front of the bike gets rubbed every time I remove or replace the faux tank. Previous owner had wrapped and re-wrapped the bundle there with elec tape. I custom-cut a section of polystyrene coke bottle to cover that area, making it slick & protecting the wires then used the nearby frame bolt to hold the plastic in place & the problem is solved. :mrgreen:

Dave, you wrap the wires with 2 liter soda pop bottle material, sort of like the shape of a toilet paper roll tube.

That's the way to go GREEN. Al Gore will be proud of you. :-P
It's nice when we can find other uses for all those plastic bottles. I use them to keep from marring the rims when changing tires on the bikes.
