That or they meant they would never do it, but they have a shop that does.

I have changed the question then to more clarify that the owner either changes or has someone change the fluids- the original intent of the question.

I voted "change when it's yellow or darker" but that's not entirely correct. I changed the front because I was switching over to braided hoses. I was switching over to braided hoses because I was getting that black rubbery gunky stuff floating around. The hoses were deteriorating and the escense of rubber was swirling around. I believe I also changed the clutch fluid at that time, even though I wasn't changing it over to braided hose. I don't recall changing the rear fluid.

Regardless, it's time to change it all out.

Sidenote: The ZX-6 I had, had a funny feeling front brake, like the cylinder was sticky, draggin, or had steps in it. I was getting ready to sell it and I priced a new cylinder. Wow, was it not cheap, LOL. I changed the fluid out and it was a whole new bike. Should have done it sooner.

If it's not yellow or root beer, and you just got it, it doesn't need changed yet then, so smile, you don't need to worry about it yet.

I voted for the big freeze because IF it starts to give me problems I'll deal with it .For now I know this probably wont occur till shortly after the big freeze.
Just to be fair ,I switched back to a 1300 and use a cable again .

I changed mine as soon as I brought the bike home on the trailer, and also changed the oil. You never know what the previous owner was like. I can tell by mine, that the Previous owner didn't have a clue.

Good point. For me it depends on the owner and the records they kept.
The shortest I have owned a bike is 4 months, the longest is two years. I think I might have finally found the bikes I have been looking for, but who knows. Too many different bikes out there. 8-)

I have a KTM 250 SX for my dirt only riding, which is much better than my DRZ ever was for dirt only, and that is all I do anymore.

I have a SV650S for riding by myself and to have a sport type of bike.

Then my wife has a Voyager that needs work all the time.
