Re: Sport Touring Poll 2010
Only 7 sport touring bikes among our members? I'm sure there are more than that!
For those that posted in the "Other" sport touring selection, what brand and model of bike do you own?

Some Guy in PA. with Rhinestones (and lots of LED lights) on his 1988 Custom Voyager XII.

Re: Sport Touring Poll 2010
I posted in the "other" category because I turned my Ninja 650R into a sport touring bike by adding the GIVI hard luggage, modifying the seat, taller windshield, and adjustable footpegs. I've run the entire Blue Ridge Parkway among other "two lane touring" rides.

Re: Sport Touring Poll 2010
I used to have a SV650S and I was going to turn it into a ST for me only, but I decided to sell it and get another Voyager and then sell my "Cool Vanilla".
I like ST bikes better for my hip locations while riding, but the wife likes the Voyager much better. That is why we have a Voyager.

Swim, bike, run; sounds like fun!!!!
Re: Sport Touring Poll 2010
FZ1 here, but hope to replace it with a C14 sometime soon. I kinda went a lil overboard with the FZ1. It began as a full on sport touring swap, but ended up with R1 injection, ACCO cams, Barlen primary and "fart can carbon fiber" can, secondary eth / H2O injection and if I can't replace it soon, I might get even dumber and +t the ugly yellow beast.

Re: Sport Touring Poll 2010
OK, If I replace the side bags on my KLR650 with more streamlined bags would this qualify as Sport touring?
I like to think of Fire Roads as Sport........

Well it is a DUAL SPORT. I would think that if you were running Supermoto wheels and tires it could be considered Sport Touring.MTN99 wrote:OK, If I replace the side bags on my KLR650 with more streamlined bags would this qualify as Sport touring?
