Rookie looking for Led wiring/Superbrace advice

I'm new to the club and to the Voyager family. Happy to be with you. I have seen some posts regarding both topics, but I had a specific question about the led's. I am going to add led driving lights and extra led turn signals. I would like to wire these lights in to existing wiring for the headlight and the turn signals. Since these lights use a minimal amount of power can I safely do it that way?
I am still trying to convince myself that the front end of my bike isn't made of rubber. The steering has been adjusted and checked by a local dealer after I bought the bike. They assured me that my bike "feels like a Voyager". My specific question is about the "Superbrace" mentioned in other posts. If everything else is as correct as it can be up front, is the Superbrace worth the money?

Although I dont have one, the Superbrace is supposed to tighten the steering up .. However..
Fork and shock air pressure and tyre pressure play a MAJOR part in removing the "hinge in the middle" feeling.
Dunlop Elite III tyres.. help .. Someone will remind me of the pressures but they are well above the "recommended"
I found 7psi in the front forks and I think 22 in the rear fixed my problem..

I have a Metzler up front and an Elite III on the rear at the moment.. Works ok but feels a little skittish at 70+ .. feels like the front wants to wander..


I would try experimenting before investing in the brace..

Short answer to adding leds - yes, you can do it. If alternator is genning properly, this bike will pull the headlight & 2x 55 watt drive lights as long as you keep you revs up. if you drive stop light to stoplight for 80 miles across NE Houston, that combo will drain your battery :dm: and leave you needing a jumpstart at the Dairy Queen, but adding led stuff doesn't pull the juice down.

Thanks, Pete and Richard for your responses. The more I read, the more I realize I need to learn. The driving lights I will be adding are led's, so I don't think the amp drain will be too heavy. My skills as an electrician are somewhat limited so I was hoping to wire the lights in with the headlight or some other "switched" circuit, so I don't forget to turn them off. (Did that on my Roadstar..good news..it was in my driveway!) Probably won't get going on these things for a few weeks. The weather in the midwest is not very good for playing in the garage. Everybody's comments are appreciated.

Hello Dennis, there is a female bullet connector behind/and below the headlamp that is on with the key switch. Its shown in the wiring diagram as ,ACC Leads (F) (front), ACC Leads (R)(rear) Its a ten amp circuit so be careful of the loads you connect. Most of us use it to power the field terminal of an acc/relay, or it can be connected to your lamp switch/ which in turn powers the field terminal of an added relay when you key switch is on.
If your like most of us and like to add electrical gagets, some type of batt/voltage monitor would be a good item to invest into. I prefer to use a voltmeter while others use a tri-color led monitor, there are several types to chose from on the market.
Always keep in mind that before you disconnect your battery to pull the 3amp fuse for the radio, the load dump on that circuit may damage the radio. Hope this helps you , Gene

I can't speak for a superbrace but the best money is to get a pair of progressive fork springs, takes about 20 minutes to install them, Have a good tire on the front like the Dunlop E3 and have it aired correctly and you will have a tight responsive front end. Most people haven't found the Superbrace to be worth the money.
