Got a tech tip for Voyager 12's from your personal experiences, or one complete with pictures and instructions, here's where to post it. You can also ask about tips or procedures here.
Just got my alternator from UPS, bolted it on and she's a chargin right at 15 volts at the battery. Too bad I got it the day after Bikeweek was over, but oh well at least we had fun while we was there, and now I have my 1st spare parts in the box, the rubber bushings that go in front of the alt. Now for a volt meter to mount on the bike.

Let me know what you are planning to do here. I am very interested in hooking up a voltmeter on my bike. I am also curious about maybe tying it in to my unused BAT light in the dash. I am not good with electricity, but I would love to try to do something like that. Can't stand the fact that that light is not used anymore.

Charlie, when you are ready I know somebody who can solve your problems. He is an electrician and a very good motorcycle mechanic, specializes in touring bikes. Just let me know.

So, are you thinking about having the light come on when the voltage is low? You would still need a sensor to detect the voltage that would then energize the light. Probably better to just put a voltmeter on the bike.
Your right, but I still hate to have an unused light. Can't I have both? Overkill, I know. You should see all the lights I have on the annunciator panel of the jet I fly that is backed up with a chime, horn or bell should one illuminate. They have to do that in a jet to protect the people in the back from the dumb pilots that "...didn't put the landing gear down because I was distracted by that damn gear warning horn blaring in my ear..."
Best regards,
Charlie.
