Can't adjust idle speed.
I can't adjust my idle speed using the knob on the right side of the bike. It feels like its tight and the knob turns both ways but makes no differance in the idle speed. I only need a couple hundred more RPMs, it's at about 900 now and will stall if I dont watch it at lights. Anyone seen this before and can I adjust it any other way? It has worked before but not now. Thanks for the help.

Re: Can't adjust idle speed.
The bike should idle fine at 900 rpm. If it's stalling, you need some tuneup work. However, the idle adjustment knob is on the LEFT side of the bike.

Opps your right it is the left side. but still dont work . and it does idle fine but just seems a little slow. i seem to want to keep my hand on the grip just to keep it from stalling. i have let go to scratch or pick one of these fla Love Bugs off and it stayed running.

Re: Can't adjust idle speed.
Sometimes, to bump my idle up, I have to manually twist the throttle open to the RPM I want, then clockwise on the idle adjust knob til it catches up to where the throttle is being held open

Re: Can't adjust idle speed.
I agree that it should run fine at 900 (I like 1100 better) but you really should be able to crank the idle up to almost red line with that adjuster.
You might want to check a little closer before you need it and don't have it.
